Hello.
I'm an enthusiastic graphic and information designer as well as a recent MFA graphic design graduate of San Diego State University in beautiful San Diego, California. You'll find that I'm a go-getter, problem solver, a creative-spark, every detail matters kind of designer.
A little about my MFA:
We, as humans, aim to make sense of the world around us - information graphics have evolved into mechanisms we use to communicate. They transform complex data (raw information) into visualizations that make data more accessible and understandable. I believe in information graphics. I believe so strongly that information graphics are pivotal to our lives that I chose to focus on exploring the value of them as my MFA research and thesis topic. Fortuitously, I also, believe in and regularly bake chocolate chip cookies. To explore and explain my thesis topic - information graphics I selected the chocolate chip cookie recipe as my complex data set. What transpired from the unlikely meeting of these two elements is fascinating, inspiring and very unique.
A little about me:
Beyond the sun and surf of San Diego, I enjoy photography, baking, watching football, all things Apple, To-Do lists and weekly visits to the local farmer's market. I occasionally jog, wash my car by hand and taste all the samples at Costco. While San Diego is my home, my family in Oregon are all very close to my heart.
